tired….worn out

October 31st, 2005 by danito

…tired…really really tired…had to come with my family to the cemetery…as my two cousins living with my grandma dicided that they didn’t want to go with her…tsk tsk…to think that i would also have to go to choir rehearsals at four in the afternoon (practice for a performance on wednesday)…so i went along as my brother jed told me it just takes a single jeepney ride to reach tita cam’s house from the north cemetery…

…we arrived at the cemetery at fifteen to two after about a 10 minute walk starting from cock arena where we parked our car…decided to rest a bit and left at 15 to three…walked back near where we parked our car and grabbed a jeep (i think this was retiro?)…asked the driver whether he would pass were i was going and he said yes…i asked him to tell me when we arrive at kanlaon coz it was the first time i would go there from this point…he said yes so i switched on my mp3 player and listened to some tunes…about ten minutes later, the driver taps my shoulder and tells me "ehehehe sorry boss, nakalimutan ko…lagpas na tayo ng kanlaon…’di bale dalawang kanto palang naman e…"

…so i walk…thinking it wouldn’t be that far and would be a waste of money if i get another jeepney ride…so i walk the whole length of kanlaon to tita cam’s place….yeah pretty stupid didn’t think it was that long a walk.

…had some difficulty concentrating with rehearsals as i was already starting to feel the strain of walking…;p

…went home after dinner…wanted to ride an air-conditioned bus so i could sleep a bit while in transit but none of them stopped when i flagged them down…funny thing is i was standing at a BUS STOP!!!…

…i got home at 9pm…although tired still had to make the next comic strip for bandera…emailed the finished piece then wrote here….

ack

now i sleep…need to wake up early later to go back and bring food for my siblings…

Newspaper Taxis and Night out with Family

October 27th, 2005 by danito

…had a chance to go out with the whole family tonight…this is happens very rarely as two of my siblings live at a different house (our grandmother’s)…it was mainly because this was the first night in a long while that we would get to see my youngest sister(ruth) and her band(Newspaper Taxis) play and also so we could celebrate her winning the grand prize in this year’s shell natinal arts awards(digital arts category)

…it was really fun drinking with the family as we listened to my sister perform…also had a very nice talk with my older sister who’s been suffering(should i say suffering…?!?) for some time now….boy problems…;p…not really sure if the advice i gave helped…she was a bit tipsy from all the beer ( i myself had about 6+ bottles…;p)…she did say that she was pretty okay afterwards…;p

…hearing her stories actually made me think about my current situation….my not having anyone yet still desperately wanting to be with someone….if only i had balls….though i’m afraid i’ve lost me marbles….;p

Komikkon Aftermath

October 22nd, 2005 by danito

The Komikkon was as stressfull as it was boring (and it was really-really boring) although it did have its fun parts…we did get to sell half of Atomic Underground 2.

…most people were still looking for the first issue…which we weren’t able to reproduce (stupid kids we are…huh)

…there was no air conditioning in the venue and my very intelligent buddies came up with the idea of selling our stuff near the Bahay’s left exit…so by the afternoon, the sun was shining down on our table and we couldn’t even stay there to sell our stuff(the sun….it burns us…arrgh)

…what irked me yesterday was the fact that a lot of "friends" sent me text messages and emails that they were going to come…yet nobody showed up…not even my oh so dear cousins…hay i should be swaering my mouth off although i hardly have any strength in me even if i’ve already slept several hours….

on another note, i also went to an audition for 20 Plus yesterday morning…It was for a role in the telenovela "Rubi" which had to be translated into english…weird thing about this audition was the fact that the director was already giving orders that should have been done during the taping, not on an audition…so it took me and my patner 14 takes to actually finish a single scene…and for me it totally sucked…argh!

…was really drained when i got home in the evening.

…so as tired as i was, i still set my alarm clock hoping to wake up early today for the 11 am sunday mass at Edsa shrine…i didn’t even hear it ring…i woke up 8:30 with hardly any strength to rise up from my bed, so i send a text message to tita cam that i won’t be able to make it…

…it’s now 12:50pm and i’ve only just began to feel strength slowly coming back…i’ll still go to better living to teach raphael art…i’ve already missed several days teaching him….

Congratulations Shaun and Aly!!!

October 1st, 2005 by danito

sang at shaun and aly’s wedding today…was the first time to sing at a wedding and was also the first time i actually attended a friend’s wedding…haaay…didn’t realize it till i was already home…

…was pretty nervous when the mass started as i was going to sing "Panunumpa" during the bride’s procession…i couldn’t hear myself singing so i was a bit paranoid if it sounded okay…it warmed my heart later on when shaun himself told me that he was moved to tears by my interpretation (WOOT!!!!)…and i was also complimented by some of the other guests at the reception area…

…so i guess it turned out to be a pretty good first time for me  as a wedding singer…YAY!

…on another note…i met this woman at the reception ( we were assigned to the same table) who offered me to teach art at her gallery every summer…how cool is that?!?…YAY Again!
