NAVEL ANIMATION COURSE
today i realized that i haven’t written anything about my taking up animation training at NAVEL Animation studio…i’ve a bit busy with all the assignments and drawing exercises from sir hardy(the instructor). imagine having to draw a single cartoon character 8 to 15 times in a span of 3 hours(total training time). and then being given 15 more as assignment….ugh…but hey, compared to my 6 other classmates, i can take it…it seems i’m the only one who’s been able to keep pace with sir hardy’s lessons…and i’m not even the most puntctual in class…hehehehe…in fact, iwas the only one able to finish the exercises assigned last wednesday (8 drawings of ben from the cartoon benjamin bear in different poses…)
so far, i’ve been receiving good feedback regarding my work…it seems one of the other instructors was so impressed with my drawings that he actually thought it was made by one of the them…sir hardy also said that my lay-outing skills surpass even some of his lead animator trainees…hwehehehe…
i was also told last week that if all goes well Navel might also include me as additional manpower in an upcoming project…ayuz!
the only problem i have with this course is that i don’t have a light table at home…don’t even have a drawing table…if the bulk of work increases this next few weeks, i’ll have to start going to training really early so i can use the ones at navel….tsk!
